Jana Nicole Logan

After a brief illness, Jana Nicole Logan, 38, went to her heavenly home Monday, May 08, 2023, in the home of her parents. Jana was born on January 07, 1985, to Rodney and Suzette Collins Logan.

Jana was a member of Ellard Baptist Church, where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age. After recently moving back to Bruce, Jana worshipped regularly at Chickenbone Baptist Church.

Jana enjoyed listening to music, playing the piano, and singing. She has served as pianist and as song director at Paris Baptist Church. She loved to watch movies at the theatre and on TV in her spare time. Family was very important to Jana and she loved to spend time spoiling her daughter, Addy Kate.

Jana's short life's calling was nursing. She practiced at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford for 17 years. She began her career as a surgical tech, then as an operating room nurse, completed her BSN, then moved to endoscopy procedures, clinical urology nurse, and most recently to the hospital's heartburn center. Jana earned the distinction of being the first nurse trained in Robotic Surgery at Baptist-Oxford.

Although Jana has departed from our lives, her treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of her loved ones, her eight-year-old daughter, Adelyn Kate Denning of Oxford, her parents Rodney and Suzette Logan, sister Jackie Logan, grandmother Sue Patterson Logan, and nephew Logan Vanlandingham, all of Bruce. Preceding Jana in death were her grandparents John Robert and Faye Murphree Collins and Fred Wayne Logan, and her aunt Amy Collins Lopez.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Will Turner officiating. Kim Parker Gregory will lead the music. North Mississippi Nurse Honor Guard will present the Nightingale Tribute. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carrying Jana to her final resting place will be Barry Logan, Eddie Logan, Richie Logan, Cody Logan, Dwight Tatum, and T.J. Vanlandingham.
