Jason Mitchell Carr

Jason Mitchell Carr, 38, passed from this life suddenly on October 22, 2019 at his home in Water Valley. Jason was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 15, 1981.

A 1999 graduate of the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science, Jason was a man of great intelligence and proved this by his academic success. Upon graduating from high school, Jason furthered his education at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and ultimately graduated from the University of Mississippi with Bachelor of English and Sociology. Jason had a knack for the arts specifically, writing, and playing the saxophone. However, under the intelligence, one could find a true football fan.

Jason is survived by his Mother; Peggie Dickey Carr; Four half Brothers, Matthew Benninghoff, Noak Benninghoff, Michael Benninghoff, and Branda Benninghoff ; One sister, Pamela Benninghoff.

He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Brown Carr.

The family will receive friends on October 24, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. In addition to the visitation, a funeral service remembering Jason’s life will take place on October 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel; Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. David Wilkinosn will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Rapers Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Craig Dickson, Dewayne Franklin, Dustin Carr, Dustin Dickey, Eric Parker, Ciro Salinas,Esteban Salinas, Jason McCharen, and Jeremey Turner.
