Jeffery Bryant, 77, of Bruce passed away at his home on July 30, 2022, in Bruce, MS. Jeffery Lynn Bryant was born on January 30, 1945, to Annice Green and David Herman Bryant.

He graduated from Bruce High School in 1963 and later attended Drones Business School in Memphis, TN. On October 10, 1964, Jeff married the love of his life, Mary Ann Massey. They lived in Memphis for a couple of years before returning to Calhoun County for Jeff to begin a career in farming.

Jeff built a home and moved to Skuna Bottom in 1969 to establish Jeff Bryant Farms, where he nurtured the land of Calhoun County with a 54-year-long tenure of growing cotton, corn, soybeans, and wheat, and raising livestock. In his younger years, Jeff was an avid bird hunter who loved

to water ski on Grenada Lake. He served as Farm Bureau County President and won Jaycee's 1973 Outstanding Young Farmer Award for Calhoun County. He was a lifetime deacon at Ellard Baptist Church.

Jeff leaves behind his daughter Bethany, born December 17, 1968, and his adopted Swiss daughter, Gaby Kaiser Brasher, who moved to Skuna Bottom to live with the Bryant family in April of 1982 for her first American crop harvest with Jeff. Jeff began to transition into retirement in 2000 and was fully retired from row-crop by 2005, except for cows--selling his last remaining herd in April of 2020. His ultimate enjoyment was watching his 3 grandsons, John David, Will, and Andy, grow into outstanding young men. Sister, Sarah Bryant Webb of Starkville; Brother, Wayne Bryant of Prentiss. Sister- in-law Patsy Johnson of Banner and her son Joe Morris Johnson. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Massey Bryant; parents, Annice Green and Bro. David Herman Bryant; three brothers: Billy Bryant, James Bryant, and Jimmy Bryant.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 01, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating his life will take place on Tuesday, August 02, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Jason Barefield, James Chrestman, Larry Collins, Brad Melton, Randy Schmitz, L.T. Spearman, Troy Todd, and Calvin Yates wil carry Jeff to rest in Concord Cemetery.
