Jenelle Logan Chrestman

Jenelle “Sis” Logan Chrestman, 90, of Bruce, MS entered her heavenly home from her earthly home in Calhoun City, MS on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was born on July 13, 1933, in Bruce to the late Aubrey Olan Logan and Roena Jane Going Logan.

Jenelle spent her days as a homemaker who devoted her time to looking after the needs of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and in her flowers. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. Jenelle was also an avid Elvis fan. She was a member of Ellard Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS.

She leaves behind two daughters: Cynthia "Cindy" Chrestman-Smith of Calhoun City; Susan Chrestman Boyd of Oxford; son, Richard Earl "Dickey" (Rhonda) Chrestman of Bruce; two brothers: Robert "Bob" (Nell) Logan of Bruce; James "Bud" (Margaret) Logan of Como; five grandchildren: Chris Smith of Olive Branch; Jeremy (Ramada) Smith of Calhoun City; Tracy Stewart of Bruce; Jessica (Chase) Buckles of Oxford; and Logan Boyd of Oxford. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren.

Jenelle is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jimmy Lynn Chrestman; her parents, Aubrey Olan Logan and Roena Jane Going Logan.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating Jenelle's life will take place on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral home in Bruce with Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating. Chris Smith, Jeremy Smith, Logan Boyd, Zach Smith, Drew Smith, Chase Buckles, Beau Goodson, and Joe Youngblood will serve as Pallbearers and Blake Smith will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.  Jenelle will be laid to rest at the family cemetery, Jimmy's Memorial Garden, in Calhoun City.
