Jesse Eugene Coleman,86, of Water Valley passed from this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at his home. Born on July 16, 1935 in Bruce, he was a son to the late Josiah Mitchell Coleman and Lena Jane Owens Coleman.
Jesse, an Ellard High School Graduate, was well known for his love of anything and everything Ole Miss especially Football. Aside from his love of sports, he found joy in the thrills of bird hunting. Although Jessie has departed from our lives, his treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.
He leaves behind an expansive family to continue walking down the path of life; one son, Michael (Ann) Coleman of Pontotoc; one step-son, Tony Hubbard of Bruce; two step daughters: Terri Hubbard of Brandon; Tammy Duncan of Pontotoc; three grandchildren: Mikki Hoff , Christen Coleman, and Cole Coleman; two great grandchildren: Carlie Jane Hoff and Barrett Hoff; one brother and last surviving sibling, James Coleman of Bruce.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Lura Jane Smith Coleman; parents, Josiah Mitchell Coleman and Lena Jane Owens Coleman; two sons: Jessie Mitchell Coleman and Danny Keith Coleman; three brothers; Stanely Coleman, Elmer Lee Coleman, and J.C Coleman; four sisters: Lottie Coleman, Mary Coleman, Jewel Lingenfelter, and Hazel Newman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service remembering Jesse’s life will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM on the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Stanley officiating. Cole Coleman, Jimmy Chrestman, Tommy Hoff, Alex Stratton, Aric Stratton, Gary Taylor, Charlie Willhite, and Richard Willhite will carry him to rest in Memory Memorial Garden. James Coleman will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
