Jessie Mae Langford Blaylock

Southaven, MS – Jessie Mae Blaylock, 88, departed this life on December 5, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Desoto, Southaven surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 27, 1929 in Derma, Mississippi. She was a devoted Christian lady, and she was a dedicated homemaker who loved cooking, gardening, flowers and praying for love ones. She dearly loved her family and church at Heritage Christian Life Center. Before retiring she worked at Block Drug Company of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis Langford and Clara Mae Vanlandingham Langford, her husband, J.T. Blaylock, a son, Richard E. Blaylock , a grandson, Ricky Blaylock and her son – in – Law, Bobby Marshall.

Survivors are her son, John Timothy Blaylock “Tina”, Southaven, MS.; a daughter, Mary Nell Marshall, Horn Lake, MS; daughter-in-law, Betty Blaylock, Southaven, MS; two sisters, Inez Smith, Little Rock, AR, Eva Jane Rogers, Grenada, MS; two brothers, Jimmy Howard Langford, Pontotoc, MS, Johnny Langford, Calhoun City, MS; four grandchildren, Bobby Ray Marshall, John Marshall, Robert Marshall, Sherrie Tilley, seven great grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Derma Pentecostal Church at 2:00 p.m. Those officiating in the funeral service are Rev. James Sandy, Rev. Nathaniel Urshan, Rev. Bobby McCool, Rev. Lee Cook, Rev. Billy Patterson and S.P.C. Dylan Tilley. Burial will be in Oak Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnny Langford, John Marshall, Robert Marshall, Billy Patterson, Dylan Tilley and Randall Tilley.

Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2017 at Derma Pentecostal Church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday before funeral services from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
