Jimmy Carroll Bumgart, born on March 9, 1961, in Bruce, Mississippi, passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 64. Jimmy was the son of John Robert and Thelma Delores Bumgart.
Mr. Bumgart is survived by his son, John James Bumgart; step-son, Jacob "Jake" Russell; step-daughter, Hassie (Will) Weldon; grandchildren, Brody Peacock, Ellyssa Jade Beason, Logan (Taylor) McAlester, and Analeese (Hunter) Hancock; and sisters, Martha Nell (John) Hollis, and Patricia (Kenneth) Davis.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Russell Bumgart; his first wife, Jeanne Carpenter Bumgart; father, John Robert Bumgart; mother, Thelma Delores Bumgart; sister, Linda Gail Bumgart, brothers, John William Bumgart and Larry Thomas Bumgart; grandparents, Jim and Cordie Bumgart and Evans and Vivian Brassfield.
A graveside service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cross Roads Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend and honor the memory of Mr. Bumgart.
