Jimmy Lee Gore

Jimmy Lee Gore, 68, departed from this life on Saturday, April 08, 2023 in Bruce, MS. He was born on December 05, 1954, in Water Valley, MS to the late Phillip Lee Gore and Annie Lou Landreth Gore.

Jim earned a bachelors and masters degree in theology from the Southern Bible Institue and Seminary in Augusta, Georgia. He spent many seasons of life working for the Town of Bruce until his retirement. Jim also worked at Weyerhouser and was a partial owner of Quality Forrest in his previous years. He faithfully served the Lord as a pastor and missionary. Jim was a member of Pittsboro First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a part of the brotherhood.

He leaves behind his wife, Sue Anglin Gore of Pittsboro, MS; daughter, Jodee Gore of Summerville, SC; Adam Gore of Fulton, MS.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Lee Gore and Annie Lou Landreth Gore; sister, Linda Lou Gore; niece, Dana Redwine.

A memorial service honoring Jim's life will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Pittsboro First Baptist Church at 6:00 PM with Bro. Daniel Hathorne and Bro. Vince Anderson officiating. John Beaudoin, Bryant Brannon, Carl Bryant, Benny Collins, John Crump, Mark Gazaway, Adam Gore, Bob Logan, Darrell Logan, and Danny Redwine will serve as honorary pallbearers.
