Jimmy Curtis Luther, 67 of Houlka, Mississippi died on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical
Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born Saturday, February 22, 1947, in Calhoun County, Mississippi, he was the son of the late William C. "Bill" Luther and the late Mary McDonald
Luther. He was the husband of Dianne Steele Luther of Houlka, MS.
Retired U.S. Army National Guard, served 43 years, from 1966 until 2009.
He was a member of Cooke Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Dianne Steele Luther of Houlka, MS. a son, Michael (Tabitha) Luther of Pontotoc, MS, daughter,
Michelle (Joey) Moody of Houlka, MS. Eight grandchildren, Brett Hood, Nikki McCord, Shelby Luther, Marley Hood,
Katie Ruth Luther, Hope Moody, Dakota Moody, and Tyler Moody. Four sisters, Maybelle Fisk of Grenada, MS.
Louise Potts of Hickory Flat, MS. Vivian Washington of Pontotoc, MS. and Minnie Brogden of Bartlett, TN. three
brothers, Thomas McCammon of Bruce, MS. Elton McCammon of Coffeeville, MS. and Cecil Edwards of Houston, MS.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Junior
Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in New Cooke Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Bobby Albert Chrestman, Matthew Crossno, Larry Dunn, Paul Heath, Reginald Henry, and Brad Tinsman.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, 476 Hwy 9N, Bruce, Mississippi.
