JoAnn Winter, 72 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Bruce Community Living Center in
Bruce, Mississippi.
Born Saturday, November 6, 1943 in Haskel, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Walter Allen Thompson and the late
Stella Frances Thompson. She was the wife of the late Denzil Winter.
She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, a retired secretary and bus driver, from Calhoun County School
System after 35 Years.
Surviving are daughters, Cindy (Jon) Ferguson of Bruce, MS, Laura (Carlton) Leachman of Bruce, and Sherrie (Phillip)
Ledbetter of Bruce, Step-sons, Mike (Teresa) Winter of Pittsboro, MS. and Ken (Donna Sue) Winter of Bruce, MS.
Grandchildren, Jonna (Chad) Cain, Andrea (Bradley) Howell, Kalon (Scott) Oakley, Lakyn (Eric) Parker, Cody Leachman, Shelby Lynne Leachman, Valarie (Tony)
Goodson, Stephanie Winter, Zack Winter, and Amanda (Robbie)Lynch. Twelve Great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers, W.A. Thompson and Phillip Thompson, sisters, Peggy Davis , Ima
Lee Harper and Norma Sue Eisenman. Grandson, Justin Allen Ledbetter.
A Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro.
Junior Ritchie and Bro. Mickey Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be Chad Cain, Corey Clark, Bradley Howell, Cody Leachman, Scott Oakley and Eric Parker. Honorary
Pallbearers are, Clint Grist, Cody Grist and Todd Simon.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
