Joey Daniel

Joseph Donald Daniel, Jr. 65, of Bruce, MS, passed this earthly life on May 4, 2024, at University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital.

Joey was born on August 13, 1958, in Starkville, MS to the late Joseph Donald Daniel, Sr. and Milla Faye Oswalt.

He was a steel worker until his retirement and disability with Gulf States Steel. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Antioch Baptist Church. Joey was also an avid Mississippi State Bulldog fan in every aspect.

He is survived by his loving wife whom he married October 9, 2004, Marcia Bryant Daniel, of Bruce, MS; brother Johnny (Melissa) Daniel, of Mathiston, MS; stepdaughter Amber (Jim) Cameron, of  Desoto, KS;  step grandchildren: Savannah Cameron, Charlie Cameron, Dakota Goynes, and  Callie  (Jamac) McAdory;  6 great-grandchildren; nephews: Connor Daniel, Ben Daniel, and Nick Smith; and a very special aunt, Betty Daniel, of Sturgis, MS.

Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Danald Daniel, Sr. and Milla Faye Oswalt ,stepson Josh Deaton; and sister-in-law Teresa Daniel.

Visitation for Joey will be Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce, MS.  A funeral honoring Joey will be Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Hal Clark, and Bro. Bubba Vest officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kristian Bryant, Ben Daniel, Connor Daniel, BJ Farmer, Matthew McCormick, and Dut Swords. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
