John Wayne Kelley

John Wayne Kelley, 96 of Banner, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi.

A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Banner, MS.

Pallbearers will be: Jeff Barefield, Todd Brady, Tye Brady, Channing Hunt, Jeff Hunt, Tracy Hunt, Charles Kelley, and J.D. Whisenant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of Banner Masonic Lodge

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.

John was born Saturday, August 21, 1920 in Banner, Mississippi, he was the son of the late John Kelley and the late Ida Verda Kelley. He was the husband of the late Nova Wright  Kelley. He will be sadly missed by his are daughter, Elnora Castleberry and husband Tim of Banner, MS, sister, Jaunice Logan of Bruce, MS;  grandchildren, Todd Mitchell Brady, Tye Michael Brady, Jeffrey Wayne Hunt, and Tracey Hunt; 6 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by daughter, Janie Faye Brady, brothers, John Orlin Kelley and Charlie Kelley, sisters, Alice Barnett, Sadie Cauldwell, Ila Miles, Sally Norwood and Lona Barnett.

John was a devoted member of Paris Baptist church and a member of Banner Masonic Lodge. He retired from the civil service providing support for the U.S. Marines base operations.  John loved the outdoors his hobbies were hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
