John Pierce Williams, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on April 8, 1962, in Memphis, TN, John spent his life committed to understanding and supporting those around him. He held a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in educational psychology and a master's in sports medicine. He dedicated his career as a psychologist at the North MS Regional Center, where his compassion and insight touched many lives. John also served many years as athletic trainer for Oxford High School as a part time trainer.

John was not only a skilled professional but also a member of College Hill Baptist Church, where he found comfort and community amongst his fellow congregants. His love for Ole Miss sports was evident, often drawing him into spirited discussions and gatherings with friends and family. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Micah Briscoe, Chandler Kate Barbee, Deacon Briscoe, and Charlee Reese Barbee, who brought him immense joy and pride.

He is survived by his daughters, Dayka Briscoe, Kara (Ben) Barbee, and Cassie Williams, as well as his son, J.P. Williams all of Oxford, MS and his sister, Debbie Cummings of Murfreesboro, TN. John’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angela Williams, father, James Williams, mother, Virginia Walker Williams, and a brother, Thad Williams.

A public viewing will take place at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on February 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance and support one another in their grief.
