Johnny Paul Gann, 74, passed away on April 4, 2022, at his home in Calhoun City, MS.

Johnny was born on January 19, 1948, in Calhoun City, MS, to the late Floyd Lee Gann and Annie Mae Bowling Gann.

Johnny was married to Linda Kay Blount Gann and they had 5 children. Johnny was a carpenter by trade but during his spare time he could be found riding 4-wheelers, fishing, or mowing. He was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.

Johnny is survived by his wife Linda Gann, of Calhoun City; daughters: Felicia Gann of Pontotoc; Barbara (Beaver) Terry of Bruce; Stacy Gann of Calhoun City; and Patsy (Dallas) Gann of Calhoun City; son Johnny Dewayne (Claire) Gann of Big Creek; sister Bonnie Blount of Sarpeta; grandchildren: Chris Vanlandingham, Justin Vanlandingham, Jason Gann, Tiffany Floyd, Mikey Gann, David Westmoreland, Brandon Jones, Tristan Reece, Chloe Goodson, Eli Goodson, and Jody Lyda; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Annie Gann; a sister Katherine Anglin; brothers Jimmy Gann; Delaine Gann; Ray Gann; and Gary Gann.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service honoring Johnny's life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. Charles Wright officiating. Dewayne Carter, William Crow, Brian Frizell, Cody Havens, Ryan Lyda, Beaver Terry, and Nathan Williams will carry Johnny to rest in Memory Memorial Garden.

The staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gann family as they begin this new season of life. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
