Dr. Jonathan Chad Williams, 43, of Starkville, MS, passed away on April 5, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.

Dr. Williams was born on January 5, 1981, in Tupelo, MS, to Joel Inmon Williams and Bonnie Aston Williams.

As a child he was determined to be a doctor and would not let anything, or anyone stop him.  Chad graduated from Vardaman High School in 1999, Northeast MS Community College in 2001 and Mississippi State University in 2004.  He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2009.  He completed a specialized residency in Orthopedic Surgery at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.  In 2014 he became on orthopedic surgeon at OCH Medical Center in Starkville, MS, where he continued to work until his death.

Dr. Williams was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Thorn and was passionate about the community outreach programs there.  He enjoyed playing many sports as both a child and adult. He loved hunting of all kinds.  He was most passionate about the greatest loves of his life, his children. Chad will be remembered as loyal, determined, and headstrong. His smile, laugh, and friendship will never be forgotten, and he will be sorely missed by many.

Remaining to cherish Chad's memory are his parents Joel and Bonnie Williams, of Vardaman, MS; his daughter Ava Clayre Williams; sons: Conley Lewis Williams, and Lawson Chad Williams, all of Starkville, MS; brother Jeremy (Alyssa) William, of Athens, AL; grandmother Alma Ann Williams, of Vardaman, MS; nephews: Jaxon Williams, Cole Williams, and Mason Williams, of all Athens, AL; his faithful surgical coordinator and friend Nikki Watts, of Starkville, MS; and many loving family, friends, and coworkers.

Chad is preceded in death by his brother Brian Inmon Williams; grandparents Oscar and Nell Aston; and grandfather James Lewis Williams.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church in Thorn. Visitation will also be on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church in Thorn. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Bro. Jeremy Williams, Bro. Elijah Winter, and Bro. David Poynor officiating.  Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Vardaman. Serving as pallbearers will be: Steven Aston, Dallas Gore, Craig McCluskey, Ben Phillips, Jay Vanlandingham, Daniel Williams, Dillion Williams, and Jeremy Winter.
