Joseph Edward Beasley, 89, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. Born in Heth, AR, February 29, 1928, Joe was a retiree of Bell South Telephone Co. where he worked in the central office and later the outside plant department from which he retired in December 1983 after over 35 years of service. He was a graduate of Memphis Technical High School class of 1945 and a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church and resident of Wedgewood golf course subdivision in Olive Branch, where he served as a marshal for many years. He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Billie Jones Beasley, Olive Branch,MS, two daughters, Rosanne of Fisherville, TN, Carla Jo Pitts (Mark) of Bartlett, TN, one son Mark of Henderson, TN, two granddaughters Lora Lee and Camryn, one great-grandson, James and one great-granddaughter, Anna, one sister, Mary Ann Fondren (Lonnie) of Concord, NC. Memorials may be made Maples Memorial United Methodist Church, Quince Nursing and Rehab, or North Delta Hospice. A visitation will also be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS from 1:00p.m. until 1:30p.m. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Vardaman, MS at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Gary Roberson officiating with Military Honors following. Funeral services entrusted to Parker Memorial Funeral Home.
