Josephine Clements Pettit, 83 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Calhoun Health Services in
Calhoun City, Mississippi.
Born Thursday, December 25, 1930 in Hardy, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Walter "Clem" Clements
and Mildred Davis Clements. She was the wife of Bro. Edward J. Pettit of Bruce, MS.
Former cashier at Fred's Dollar Store.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband Bro. Edward J. Pettit of Bruce, MS. one son Philip (Virginia) Pettit of Bruce, MS, three
daughters, Brenda (Larry) Snellings of Bruce, MS, Jane (Mark) Johnson of Conway, AR and Teresa (Quintin)
Mayhan of Bruce, MS, one brother, Larry Clements of Bruce, MS, two sisters, Mary Nell Douglas of Randolph, MS
and Ruth McDonald of Ecru, MS. Fourteen grandchildren, Christi Galloway, Shawn Snellings, Brad Pettit, Michelle Dugard, Trent Snellings, Brent Snellings, Eric White, Jaret Prestage, Casey Prestage, Ashley Tutor, Kirsten Mayhan, Tiffany Lafferty, Carrin Johnson, Malia Jones. Twenty four Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Rufus Clements, James Clements, Robert Earl Clements,
Eddie Clements, Billy Wayne Clements and Thomas D. Clements.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Don R. Vaughan
and Bro. Steve Holliday officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Bruce, MS. Pallbearers will be Larry Clements, Brad Pettit, Casey Prestage, Jaret Prestage, Brent Snellings, Shawn Snellings, Trent Snellings, and Eric White. Honorary pallbearers will be D.J. Dugard, Harvey Galloway, and Scott Tutor.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, Bruce, Mississippi.
