Judy Carol Shaw

Judy Carol Shaw, 65, departed from this life on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at her home in Memphis, TN. She was born on August 6, 1956, in Vardaman, MS, to Roy Gillespie and Geraldine McGreger Gillespie.

Judy was married to her loving husband, John Shaw for thirty-four years before her passing. Judy spent many years as a baker for a local bakery. When Judy was not in the kitchen baking, she could be found shopping or crafting. Judy was an expert on the subject of love which could be evidenced by the affection she showed her grandchildren. Although she has departed from our presence, her smiling face will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

Those left to cherish Judy's memory are her husband John Shaw of Memphis, TN; one son Ben Shaw of Memphis, TN; daughter Jill Thomas of Southaven, MS; two brothers Kenneth Gillespie of Horn Lake, MS; and Steve Gillespie of Arlington, TX.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Roy Gillespie and Geraldine McGreger Gillespie and one sister Myra Akins.

A graveside service honoring Judy's life will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Poplar Springs Cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating.
