Kathleen Mason

Mrs. Kathleen Kelly Mason, 88, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014. A Tupelo native, Kathleen was born September 28, 1926 to W.O. and Maude Galloway Kelly. She was a retired Human Resources Director at Grenada Lake Medical Center and a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada. Mrs. Mason was a former member of the Grenada Pilot Club in which she headed up the Lifeline Program for many years. Kathleen was deeply involved with her family, church and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Grenada with Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Monday at the church.
Survivors include a son, Roger Mason (Gloria) of Louisville; two daughters, Kathy McLemore (Mac) of Madison and Karen Vance (Larry) of Grenada; six grandchildren, Kelly Joyner (Walley) of Madison, Chris Mason of Grenada, Ryan Mason (Laura Catherine) of Birmingham, AL, Lauren Homan (Bud) of Pontotoc, Kristen Vance of Grenada and Bailey McLemore of Madison; three great-grandchildren, Mason Joyner and Jackson Joyner of Madison and Bailey Mason of Birmingham, AL. She will be mourned by numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Correll Mason; a daughter, Frances Delilah Mason; two brothers, Pierce and John William Kelly; and two sisters, Clesta Kelly and Fannie Kelly Russell.
Pallbearers will be Bud Homan, Jackson Joyner, Walley Joyner, Mac McLemore, Chris Mason and Ryan Mason.
