Katheryn Gann Anglin, 84, of Big Creek passed from this life on June 8, 2021 at her home, She was born on May 8, 1937 in Calhoun County to the late Floyd Gann and Annie Mae Bowling Gann.
Katheryn spent many years of marital bliss with her late husband Earnest “Rat” Anglin. The couple gave life to seven children, seventeen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She spent her days as a faithful homemaker, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Katheryn found joy in the laborious task of flower gardening and quilting. However, when she preferred relaxing you could find her enthralled in her favorite television shows such as: Gunsmoke, Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. Beverly Hillbilly’s, and Three’s Company. Although Katheryn has departed from our presence, her treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of her dear loved ones.
She leaves behind a loving family to move into a new season of life in her absence; two sons: Danny Gann of Big Creek; Randy Anglin of Big Creek; four daughters: Beverly Morgan of Bruce; Cathy Norwood of Duck Hill; Debi Anglin of Big Creek; Becky Anglin of Pontotoc; twelve grandchildren: Adrian Bailey, Dawson Bailey, Kristen Ayers, Justin Martin, Colton Martin, Brandy Ware, David Starkey, Chelsea Crews, Hannah Crews, Tori Crews, Tommy Gann, and Lisa Anglin; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Johnny (Linda) Gann; one sister, Bonnie (William) Blount.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earnest “Rat” Anglin; parents, Floyd Gann and Annie Mae Bowling Gann; one daughter, Carol Starkey; five grandchildren: Gary Gann, William Michael Norwood, Joseph McKenzie Norwood, Gabriel Ayers, and Gaven Ayers; one great grandchild, Lana Grace Ware
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce.
The funeral service remembering Katheryn's life will take place on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating. Ronnie Ayers, Dawson Bailey,Tommy Gann, Dolton Humphries, Colton Martin, David Starkey, and Justin Ware will carry her to rest in Pittsboro Cemetery.
