Robbie Kathryn James Bond, 80, of Abbeville, MS, passed from this life on Monday, November 29, 2021, at her home with her daughter by her side. Born on February 01, 1941, in Calhoun County, she was a daughter to the late Rush Knox James and Marie Wilson James.
Kathryn spent many seasons of her life as a secretary. She served the Calhoun County School District by keeping the office of Bruce Schools running like a well-oiled machine. After many years with the Calhoun County School District, Kathryn took her skills to the Lafayette County Health Department where she ultimately retired as the office manager. She was a member of First Baptist Church Bruce where she learned about the marvelous works of the Lord. Although she has departed from our lives, her memory will hold a special place in the hearts of her friends and family.
Kathryn leaves behind a close-knit family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence: one daughter, Tamela (Tim) Sparks of Abbeville, MS; one nephew, Roger Spratlin of Vardaman, MS; and one niece, Shelia Spratlin of Hot Springs, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rush Knox James and Marie Wilson James and sister Nora Spratlin.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 02, 2021, from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The Graveside service celebrating her life will take place at 11:00 AM in Bruce Cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating.
