Katie Lorene Logan, 97 of Bruce, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Calhoun Health Services
Hospital in Calhoun City, Mississippi.
Born Sunday, June 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Phil Miller and the late Cora Vaughn  Miller. She was the wife of
the late Olan Logan and the late Luke Hughes.
She was retired from Glenn Slacks ,  and City Cleaners. Mrs. Katie enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilt making.
She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Scottie Hughes and wife Shirley of Bruce, MS and Jimmy Hughes and wife Joyce of Bruce, MS,
daughter, Patsy Austin of Bruce, MS, grand children, Jeff Hughes, Chris Hughes, Gloria Horton, Christy Love, Rick Austin,
Brian Hughes, and Alecia Todd  14 great grand children.
She was preceded in death by by brothers, Durell Miller, Hayes Miller, Edward Miller and Harold Miller, sisters, Connie Miller
and Ruby Morgan.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander
officiating and  Bro. Danny Kelly assisting. Burial will be in Memory Memorial Garden, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Rick Austin, Brian Hughes, Cameron Hughes, Chris Hughes,  Jeff Hughes, and Bill Love.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476
hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
