Kristin Leigh Edgerton

Kristin Leigh Edgerton passed away July 4, 2020 after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. Born on August 8, 1968 to Lieutenant Commander Robert L. Edgerton, United States Navy and his wife, Ruth Tarver Edgerton in Brunswick, Georgia. Kristin was 51.

With her father serving his country in the United States Navy, Kristin’s education started with Kindergarten in Spain, followed by Elementary School in Germany. Kristin’s family settled in the Memphis region.  She attended Braircrest and Auburndale Middle School in Cordova, where she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen, and graduated from Germantown High School. A happy and funny little girl who grew into a happy and funny woman, she was a joy to her family and friends and will be missed by all.

Kristin leaves behind her mother, Ruth Tarver Edgerton; step-father Patrick G. “Jerry” Cassidy; brother R. Keith Edgerton; sister Katherine Edgerton DeLoach; nephews Kyle Kieler, Kevin Kieler, and Colin Edgerton; niece Regan L. Edgerton, great-nephew Kristian Kieler; great-niece Kyleigh Kieler, and uncles Charles R. (Audrine) Tarver and John T. (Lynda) Tarver.

Kristin’s family will gather at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Southaven, MS to celebrate her life and commend her to God on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 1:00p.m with Rev. Elizabeth Wheatley-Jones offciating. Immediately following services at St. Timothy’s, the family will proceed to Memorial Park South Woods Cemetery for graveside prayers and to lay Kristin to eternal rest. The Reverend Elizabeth Wheatley-Jones, Rector of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Southaven will officiate services with prayers and words of comfort for the family.

Kristin was preceded in death by her Father, LDCR Robert L. Edgerton, USN, ret.

Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce and Vardaman is honored to have been entrusted by the family to help celebrate Kristin’s life.
