L.H. Johnson, 91, of Bruce passed from this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home in Calhoun City. He was welcomed into this world on October 12, 1930, by the late Hamilton Lowery Johnson and Alma Morris Johnson.
L.H. was married to his loving wife Patsy Massey Johnson. The couple built a God-fearing life through the years and raised a close-knit family. He provided for his loved ones by practicing the world’s oldest yet most honorable profession as a farmer. Early in his life L.H. managed Avent Dairy plant for many years. In conjunction with his longtime career in agriculture, he was well known for the thousands of tomatoes and peas that he began raising every spring. L.H. met all the Biblical characteristics of a deacon, and as a true man of God he served as a longtime Deacon at First Baptist Church of Bruce. He didn’t simply pass away; he held the cure to death in his soul, an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
He leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence: wife Pasty Massey Johnson of Bruce; one son Joe Morris (Brittany) Johnson of Tupelo; three grandchildren: Addison Johnson, Rivers Johnson, and Raegan Johnson; one brother Robert Earl Johnson of Merkel, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hamilton Lowery Johnson and Alma Morris Johnson; one sister Elouise McGuire.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 04, 2021, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, December 04, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Ryan Reed.
