Larry Clements

Larry Clements, 78, passed away on May 30, 2023, at his home in Bruce, MS.

Larry Clements was born on June 2, 1944, in Houlka, MS, to Walter Clements and Mildred Davis Clements.

Larry was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  He enjoyed watching TV and spending time with his family.  He worked at Weeks Big Star in Bruce before becoming an assistant manager at Wal-Mart where he worked for sixteen years until his retirement.

Larry is survived by his wife Linda Clements of Bruce; daughter Raye Anne (Allen) Merritt of Pontotoc; son Wayne (Jennifer) Clements of Pontotoc; stepson Tim (Brandy) Alsup of Tilden; grandchildren: James Benjamin (Mandy) Stark of Smithville,  AdreAnne (Tay) Miller of Smithville, Nic (Ashlyn) Clements of Pontotoc, and Addison Clements of Pontotoc; sister Mary Nell (Jackie) Douglas of Randolph; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mildred Clements; sisters Ruth McDonald and Josephine Pettit; brothers: Rufus Clements, James Clements, Eddie Clements, Robert Earl Clements, Billy Wayne Clements, and Thomas Clements; and the mother of his children Patricia Clements.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM until service time at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home at Bruce with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Joey Hamilton officiating, with burial to follow in Memory Memorial Gardens in Bruce.  Serving as pallbearers will be: Matthew Clements, Jeff Clements, Ethan Snellings, Jack Snellings, Shawn Snellings, and Casey Prestage. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Snellings and Phillip Pettit.
