Larry "Bud" O'Neal Mcgregor

Pittsboro, MS – Larry O’Neal “Bud” McGregor, 71, passed this life Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford. He was born in Vardaman, February 3, 1947 to the late parents of C.O. McGreger and Elizabeth Bray McGreger. Bud was a graduate of Vardaman High School Class of 1964 and East Mississippi Community College and attended Mississippi State University. He was a retired Timber Cruiser, worker; for Hankins Lumber Company for over 40 years. He was an avid Fox Hunter, Fox Hunting Judge and received he Master of Hounds Award along with many other awards. Bud, loved nature and the outdoors being fox hunting, fishing or gardening. He treasured his family in every aspect of life.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Michele Wimberly McGregor, Pittsboro; daughters, Kim Edwards “Haden”, New Albany, Christy Tedder “George”, Waynesboro, GA, Gina Plumb, Calhoun City; sisters, Jane Gregory “Lader”, Pittsboro, Shelia Freely “Scott”, Vardaman; 3 grandchildren, Caitlin Tedder, Morgan Tedder, Landry Plumb, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral services honoring Bud’s life will be, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Bruce with Bro. Ronnie Scott and Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dean Brummett, Chad Clark, Khris Faulkner, Bubba Freely, Gary Schmitz and D.J. Scott.

Honorary pallbearers will Tom Bailey, Larry Ethridge, Henry Dean Gray, Clay Gregory, Stacey Gregory, Paul Isabel, Charles Parker, Tommy Reid, Larry Winter and Local State and National Fox Hunter Members.

Care of the McGrgeor family is entrusted to Parker Memorial Funeral Homes.
