Lavenia Hollis, 96 of Vardaman, Mississippi died on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Bruce Community Living Center in
Bruce, Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, February 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joe Sire Ramage and the late Willie Belle
Alexander Ramage. She was the wife of the late Shelby Dye and the late Elmer Hollis.
She was a Homemaker and former Factory Worker.
She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and former Eastern Star member.
Surviving are son, Shelby Joe Dye of Calhoun City, MS, daughter, Jackie Bush of Vardaman, MS, step-daughter
Suzy Richmon of Scio, Oregon, sisters, Mary Frances Long of Vardaman, MS, Naomi Elder of Bruce, MS and Jean
Pendergrass of Derma, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and brothers, Lee Ramage, Howard Ramage, Jimmy Ramage
and Frank Ramage, sisters, Annie Mitchell, Pauline Ellis and Alene Bowles.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at New Liberty Baptist Church with the Bro. Jeff Harmon and
Bro. Pete Gregory officiating. Interment will be in New Liberty Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Chrestman, Randy Chrestman, Christopher Dye, Danton Dye, Drew Dye, Dustin Dye,
Michael Dye, Patrick Dye, and Stephen Morgan.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, Vardaman, Mississippi.
