Lavera "Ilean" Anglin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on October 13, 2025, at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City, Mississippi. Born on September 30, 1928, in the Rocky Mount community, Ilean lived a life filled with love, service, and creativity.

Ilean taught at Reid Community School before marrying her husband, Emmite Garnell Anglin, she later graduated from the Northwest Community College Practical Nursing Program, after which she dedicated herself to the nursing profession as a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse at Hillcrest. Her commitment to caring for others was evident in every aspect of her life, from her work as a floor nurse to her previous roles as a babysitter, teacher and factory worker. Ilean's contributions to her community extended beyond her career; she shared her love of learning with many as she taught children's Sunday school.

Her spirit of adventure led her on mission trips to Mexico, where she provided care and support to those in need. Ilean was also a fixture in her family's lives, raising three daughters-Lavera Garnett (John) Beaudoin, Millicent Irene (Carl) Bryant, and Zarah Sue Gore-who carry forward the values she instilled in them. Ilean found great joy and pride in her role as grandmother and great-grandmother, leaving behind a cherished legacy of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beyond her nurturing nature, Ilean was a talented artisan. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, sewing, gardening, and woodworking, filling her home and the hearts of her loved ones with her creative passions. Known fondly by her middle name "Ilean," she will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Ilean is survived by her daughters and their families, which include grandchildren Adam and Jodee Gore, Christy (David) Sulling, John (Jen) Beaudoin, Catherine Beaudoin, Joe (Amy) Beaudoin, Amy (Garret) Walsh, and Natalie (Kevin) Turner, as well as her twelve great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on October 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Ilean will be laid to rest following the service in Bruce Cemetery.

Lavera Ilean Anglin will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Adam Gore, John Beaudoin, Joe Beaudoin, David Sulling, and Garret Walsh, along with son-in-laws: Carl Bryant and John Beaudoin.
