Herbert Leon Murphree, 74, of Bruce passed from this life on Thursday, September 09, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Born on November 27, 1946, in Calhoun County, he was a son to the late Hubert Burke Murphree and Winnie Tapley Murphree.

Leon was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

He is survived by a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The graveside service remembering Leon’s life will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Bro. David Bishop and Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating.
