Lillie Mae Fleming

Lille Mae Fleming, 86, of Vardaman passed from this life on Monday, January 10, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She graced the world with her presence on January 3, 1936, in Calhoun County to the late Robert Elmer Stark and Annie Irene Douglas Stark.

Lillie Mae spent many days of her life working at Kellwood Company and Calhoun Apparel. After retiring, she began to practice her favorite hobby of gardening full time. She was a dedicated member of New Providence Baptist Church where she worshiped the Lord in a body of likeminded believers. Although she has gone to rest in a sacred place free from sickness and the pains of age, Lillie Mae will be profoundly missed by her loving family and friends.

Those left to continue walking down the path of life in her absence are two sisters: Ruthie Evelyn Harrelson of Bruce and Lila Faye Bowling of Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Harold Fleming; her parents Robert Elmer Stark and Annie Irene Douglas Stark; and one sister Mildred Nichols.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. The Funeral Service celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman with Phil Lucius delivering the eulogy.  Corey Harrelson, Jahew Harrelson, Michael Kendall, Craig Tutor, Scott Tutor, and JJ Winter will carry Lillie Mae to rest in Pinecrest Memorial Garden.
