Linda Peden Aldridge, 76, of Olive Branch passed from this life and met her Lord and Savior on January 05, 2022. She was born on October 19, 1945 to Aaron Ellis Peden  and Ada Mae McCormick Peden.  She attended Bruce Schools and Northwest Mississippi Community College. She married the love of her life Gary Lee Aldridge on October 27, 1965 and preceded him in death by a mere four days. They had two boys John Gary Aldridge and Brian Keith Aldridge.

She worked for in county government for several years in the Calhoun County Circuit Clerk’s office, and in the Desoto County Circuit Clerk’s office before being appointed Justice Court Clerk of Desoto County. Linda was also voted President of Justice Court Clerk Association for a term. She loved her church, New Prospect Baptist Church, and the friendships she developed there. She was an avid reader, loved flowers, and all her friends. She loved her boys, grandchildren, and her great grandson who was the light of her life. She also had a host of nieces and nephews that she loved and adored.

Those left to carry on her memory include; son, John Gary (Angela) Aldridge; grandson, Jonathan Aldridge; granddaughter, Brittany (Logan) Carroll; great grandson, Denver Scott Carroll.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Aldridge; parents, Aaron Ellis Peden  and Ada Mae McCormick Peden; her parents in marriage, John Earl and Lois Alred Aldridge; son, Brian Keith Aldridge; sisters: Janet Ruth Griffin, Nina Pearl Gregory; Eunice Mae Peden; Martha Suggs, and Pauline Coston.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating not only Linda’s life but also her loving husband Gary’s life will take place on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Griffin officiating. The beloved couple will be laid to rest beside one another in Crossroad’s Cemetery.
