Linda Gordon Bradshaw, 74, passed away on November 19, 2021, in Memphis, TN.
Linda was born on October 3, 1947, in Bruce, MS, to late William "Bill" Gordon and Lorene Carter Gordon.
Linda graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Masters Degree in History. She then began a 33 year career as a teacher in the Shelby County, Tennessee School System. Linda was an avid reader, a genealogy buff, loved history, and crafting. She was actively involved since the 1980's with the Daughter's of the American Revolution Nahoula Chapter and the United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapters.
Linda is survived by two daughters: Jennifer (Tim) Bradshaw Newman of Stephens City, VA, and Katie (Garrett) Bradshaw Howse of Houston, TX, and one sister Deborah (Eddie) Gross of Memphis, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Lorene Gordon; sisters Charlotte King and Judy Gordon, and brother Ronald Barrett Gordon.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 12:00 PM until time of service at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsboro Cemetery with John Austin Bray, John Bray, Will Fleming, Garrett Howse, Tim Newman, and Clayton Perkins serving as pallbearers.
