Linda Diane Easley

Linda Diane Worrells Easley, 73, departed from this life on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. She was born in a cotton patch on September 9, 1947, in Mantee to the late Leroy Worrells and Opal Mae Kolb Worrells Wells.

Diane spent many blissful years in marriage with her husband, Jessie Price Easley, until his passing in May of 2011. The couple brought life to four sons, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. With a keen sense of humor and an arsenal of witty comments, she knew how to have a goodtime and make those around her smile. Diane used her humor and skill to successfully care for patients while she was a nurse. She found joy in the simple things of life which included: coloring on her I-pad, attending gospel singings, and listening to country music. Diane valued her relationship with the Lord and worshiped Him at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Diane leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life three sons: David Price Easley (Ave) Blountville, Tennessee; Johnny Paul Easley of Vardaman; Matthew Jason Easley (Angela) of Pittsboro; ten grandchildren: Nathaniel Easley, Rachel Easley, Gabryelle Easley, Jacob Easley, Anna Jo Easley, Johnathan Easley (Jazmin), Austin Fox, Lilly Fox, Riley Easley, Deanna Easley; three great grandchildren; two brothers: Arthur Wells of Maben; H. E Wells of Mantee; three sisters: Zelma Fulgham of Madison; Rose Wells of Brandon; and Becky Spencer of Mantee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Price Easley; son, Roy Lynn Easley; parents, Leroy Worrells and Opal Mae Kolb Worrells, step-father; Martin Wells; four brothers: Carter Wells, Larry Wells, Monroe Wells, and Russell Worrells.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The funeral service remembering Diane’s life will take place on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 4:00 PM in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist with Bro. Buddy Pepper, Bro. Danny Spratlin, and Bro. Vincent Anderson officiating. Jacob Easley, Jonathan Easley, Nathanael Easley, Chad Fulgham, Brent Parker, Kent Parker, Ronny Patterson, Ashely Wells, and J.R. Wells will carry her to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include: Tommy Calhoun, Austin Fox, Brad Smith, Jerry Vance, Wade Worrells, Lee Wright, and the Deacons of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
