Linda Gail Willoughby

Linda Gail Willoughby, beloved sister, aunt, and cherished friend, who departed this life on October 9, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on April 16, 1946, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Albert Cockrell and Viola Hayes. Linda spent her later years in Water Valley, where she embraced her roles with unwavering love and devotion.

Linda dedicated her life to nurturing not only her family but also the many animals she cared for with compassion. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often filling her days with music, books, and the company of her sister; Lois L. Adams along with twenty nieces and nephews. As a devoted Baptist, she embodied the faith and values she cherished.

As we remember Linda Gail Willoughby, let us carry forward her spirit of love and kindness, ensuring that her legacy continues to shine bright.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband; J.C. Willoughby, father; Albert Cockrell, and mother; Viola Hayes.
