Louis Harmon, 94, passed away on May 4, 2021, in Southaven, MS. Louis was born on August 1, 1926, in Sallis, MS, to the late Grover Harmon and Emma Harmon.
Louis married Corine Harmon and the couple had 1 child Teresa Tedford, of Southaven.
He worked as a Switchman for Skuna Valley Railroad and later went worked for Illinois Central Railroad.
When Louis wasn’t working he could be found duck hunting, exercising, and was also know for being a good handyman.
Louis served his country in the Navy during both World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Louis is survived by his daughter Teresa (Leland) Tedford, of Southaven, MS; grandchildren: Priscilla Tedford; William Harmon Tedford; and Mary Leigh (Chase) Joiner; and great grandchildren: Easton Loebel; Rosemary Kennedy Joiner; Michell Murphy Joiner; and Abel Louis Joiner; and sister Patricia Long, of Tupelo, MS.
Louis is preceded in death by his wives Corine Harmon and Margaret Harmon; his parents Grover and Emma Harmon; and sisters Reba McClusky and Dorothy Price.
The graveside service for Louis Harmon will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Bruce Cemetery with Bro. Craig McCormick officiating. Pallbearers will be Chase Joiner, Leland Tedford, William Tedford, and Dean Wright.
