Louise Annette Nix Ivy of Calhoun City, MS, passed away in Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS on November 7, 2025, at the age of 85. Louise was born on December 17, 1939, in Calhoun County, MS to her parents Joe Bailey Nix and Annie Louise Hamilton Nix.
Louise was a graduate of Big Creek class of 1958, a member of Bruce First Baptist Church, worked for many years at Glenn Slacks Garment Company and a homemaker, knitting, reading, working word search puzzles, and loved to sing gospel music.
Louise was preceded in death by: her husband; Leon Tillman Ivy, her parents; Joe Bailey Nix and Annie Louise Hamilton Nix, a daughter, Lynn Winter; a sister Nancy Lambert, and brothers, Frank Nix, George Nix, Lesie Joe Nix.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Ivy (Ricky) Nix, of Calhoun City, MS; four grandchildren; Jonathan Winter, Jason Busby, Emily Busby, and Leanne Busby, three great grandchildren, and a brother, David Nix of Big Creek, MS. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service will be held on November 12, at 1:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce, MS with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating and burial to follow in Bruce Cemetery with Jo Jo Bevill, Willie Bevill, Charlie Lambert, Louis Ivy, Christopher Nix, Jeff Nix, Paul Nix, and Steven Nix serving as pallbearers.
