Mabel Lorette Collins, 95 died on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Rosewood Assisted Living in Belden, Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, July 13, 1921 in Calhoun City, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Rufus A. Harville and the late
Jennie Roberson Harville. She was the wife of the late L.D. Collins. Also preceded by two brothers, Johnny Harville, and
Robert Harville. One sister, Blanch Bryant. Two Granddaughters, Jennifer Collins and Dayna Norman.
She was a retired cosmetologist, owned and operated Merle Norman Studio in Bruce. Mabel was a member of Bruce First
Baptist church.
Surviving are sons, Albert L. (Martha) Collins of Tupelo, MS, Benny D. (Barbara) Collins of Pittsboro, MS and Fred W.
Collins of Guntown, MS; 5 grand children; Buddy Collins, Cindy Collins, Dr. Joby Collins, Dawn Ruth and Carlie Morgan.
Thirteen great grand children. Four Great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Darrell Logan
officiating. Interment will be in Duncan Hill Cemetery, Derma, MS. Pallbearers will be Buddy Collins, Dr. Joby Collins,
Jeremy Moore, Danny Joe Norman, Scott Norman, Linzy Patterson, and Jeff Ruth.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home,
476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
