Mabel Easley

Mabel Costin Turner Easley, 99, passed away January 08, 2020 at Bruce Community Living Center. She was born August 15, 1920 to the late Drew and Lydia Mooneyham Costin. She was married to the late Leroy Turner and the late Cilfton Easley, Sr. was a Baptist by faith and a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist church in Calhoun county.

She enjoyed going to church, sewing, gardening, cooking, working in her flowers and spending time with her family and friends. After she retired from public work, she did a lot of baby sitting and loved the kids like they were her own.

She is survived by her step sons, Billy Ray Turner (Patsy), Roswell, NM. Cliff Easley, Jr. (Carolyn), Bruce, MS step daughters, Roxie E. Russell (Oliver), Keysville, GA. Wanda E. Chrestman (Charles) Bruce, MS, Judy Jennings, Folsom, LA, eight step grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. A sister June Costin Galloway, Knoxville, TN., a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister Trudie Costin Murphree, Twin brother Marvin Costin, step daughter Carol Turner, nieces Barbara Costin Nix, Charlotte Murphree Maxey, nephews Marvin Lee Costin and Lynn Murphree.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020 in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating. Mabel's visitation will be one hour prior to her service.

Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery, with Alan Galloway, Phillip Galloway, Danny Murphree, Donald Murphree, Laborn Murphree, Scott Murphree, Steve Murphree and Mike Nix serving as pallbearers.
