Maggie Spratlin Martin

Maggie Spratlin Martin, 91 of Vardaman, Mississippi died on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Sunshine Health Care
in Pontotoc, Mississippi.
Born Monday, September 24, 1923 in Vardaman, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late B. Forrest Spratlin
and Pearl Hollingsworth Spratlin. She was the wife of the late Paul Fleming Martin.
She was a homemaker and a life long active, member of First Baptist Church Vardaman, Charter member of Merry
Hearts, church women's group, Eastern Star member.
Surviving are son, Maurice Bryan (Martha Ann) Martin of Pontotoc, MS, a daughter, Paulette Spencer of
Greensboro, NC, sister, Martha Nell Martin of Vardaman, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Morris Spratlin, and sisters, Gay Young and Ruth
Sanderson.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 04, 2014, at First Baptist Church Vardaman, with Bro.
Joe Hamilton and Bro. Archie Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Bowling, Taylor Bowling, A.J. Martin, David Martin, Joe Spencer, and Lee Spencer.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, John Forrest Martin, Paige Martin, Rex Martin, Tom Martin, Jr., Winfred Sanderson,
John Stokes, Richard Young, Robert Young.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 3, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, Vardaman, Mississippi, MS.
