Margie Hughes Blue, 80 passed away on November 25, 2016 at South Central Regional Hospital, in Laurel, Mississippi, after an extended illness. A grave side service will be held at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Bruce, Mississippi, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00pm

Margie Hughes Blue was born January 24, 1936, to Elmer Franklin Hughes and Etta Murphree Hughes. Margie graduated from Bruce High School, Bruce, Mississippi, in 1954. She Married George Blue March 19, 1955. They had one son Michael Blue, born to them on March 13, 1963.

She was a loving housewife and mother, She traveled with George Blue wherever his career took him providing a warm comfortable family home. She devoted her life to seeing that their son, Michael, recived a good education and assisted him whenever she could in his schooling and his professional medical career.

She is survived by her husband George Blue, of 61 years and son Doctor Michael Blue, one sister Jannie Hughes Mitchell and one brother Travis Hughes.

Preceding her in death were her mother Mary Etta Murphree Hughes, Father Franklin Elmer Hughes, Sisters, Billy Jean Hughes, Johnnie Faye Hughes, Betty Sue Hughes Cox, Sara Jo Hughes Turner, and brother Fred Wayne Hughes.
