BACKGROUND:

INFORMATION:   She graduated from Baptist Memorial Hospital Nursing School in 1939, and worked

Several years as a private duty nurse before joining nursing staff of the Veterans Hospital in Memphis from

which she retired in the early 1980’s. She was a very active member of Cherry Road Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.

Until her failing health caused her to move to an assisted living home in Jonesboro, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ora Lee Pyron Barton, her husbands, Wayne H. Brasher and Woodrow W. Lofton, Two brothers, Col. Claude D. Barton and Leroy Barton and a Step Granddaughter, Christy Pickering.
