Martha N. Smith

Martha Naron Smith, 87 of Vardaman, Mississippi passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017, at The Blake in Oxford, MS.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife and was loved by her family, church family and friends. She was a devoted
member of Vardaman United Methodist Church. Martha was a graduate of Vardaman High School Class of 1947, and a
former telephone operator and beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents the late Curtis L. and Ada Streeter
Naron, her sisters; Gertrude Hill, Lavaughn Naron, Lorenda Naron, Doris Ellis and Murlee Lane. Brothers; C.L. Naron and
Bobby Naron.
Born Friday, October 25, 1929 in Houston, Mississippi. She was a member of Vardaman United Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband Lloyd Smith whom she married May 1, 1955 and made their home in Vardaman and raised their
children. also surviving are her daughter; Marisa Ramage (Kevin) of Oxford, MS. a son; Keith Smith of Vardaman, MS. four
grandchildren; Michael LaVine of McComb, MS. Erik LaVine (Alison) of Sumrall, MS. Dana Melvin (Jake) of Moselle, MS. and
McKenzie Walker (Dylan) of Rockville, MD. Four great grandchildren; Channing Melvin, Trace Melvin and Kadence Melvin of
Moselle, MS. Connor LaVine of Sumrall, MS.
Services will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 3:00 p.m. at Vardaman United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. on
the day of Services.  Bro. Robert Hogue will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons; Erik LaVine and Michael LaVine,  Nephews,  Terry Ellis, Coy Hill, Charles Ray Naron and Doug Naron.
