Martha Swindal Summerall

Mrs. Martha Summerall, of Columbus, MS. a beloved homemaker known for her passion for cooking and engaging conversations, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2024, at the age of 92. Martha was born on July 26, 1931, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

Throughout her life, Martha found joy in preparing delicious meals and sharing them with her family and friends. Her warm demeanor and ability to hold meaningful conversations endeared her to many, creating lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know her.

Martha is survived by her loving sons, David Summerall and Jack Summerall, niece Elanor Watson, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Amanda and Eric Summerall. She will forever hold a special place in their hearts and memories.

A graveside service to honor Martha's life will be held at Midway Cemetery in Vardaman, Mississippi, on May 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Parish Hartley officiating. The service will be a time to reflect on the life of a woman who brought happiness to those around her and created many fond memories during her time on earth.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Inmon Summerall, parents, William Oliver Swindal, Jessie Mae Lester Swindal, brothers, William Swindal, Jessie Swindal, Ralph Swindal, Earl Swindal, Oliver Swindal, and a sister Ruth Kelley-Staffaord.
