Mary Doris Lenard

Mary Doris Lenard, 89, passed away on March 4, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun.

Doris Lenard was born on May 3, 1931, in Winston County, MS, to Thomas Swindle and Mary Robertson Swindle.

Doris married Ezra D. Lenard in 1947 in and they moved to Bruce in 1963. The couple had 8 children. In addition to raising her children Doris worked for many years as an inspector at Glenn Slacks.

Doris is survived by daughters: Lucinda (Edwin) Baker, of Banner and Anita (Paul) Vick, of Bruce; sons: Larry (Mary) Lenard, of Calhoun City; Jimmy (Arlene) Lenard, of Coffeeville; Glenn A. Lenard, of Bruce, and Ricky Lenard, of Bruce; sisters: Ann Jones, of Horn Lake and Myrene Bentley, of Valpraiso, IN; 18 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband Ezra Lenard; parents Thomas and Mary Swindle; sons: Paul Lenard and Jeff Lenard; brothers: Clinton Swindle and Edward Swindle; and sisters: Mildred Bradley and Irene Howe.

Visitation for Mrs. Lenard will be Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce.

The service for Mrs. Doris Lenard will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Eric Payne Officiating and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Brooks Geiger, Casey Geiger, Barry Lenard, Brandon Lenard, Cainan Lenard, Jodee Lenard, Jon Lenard, Teddy Massey, Brad Poynor, and Dennis Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joe  Cowsert,  Mike Cowsert,  Caden Graham, Jaden Graham,  Jordon Graham, David Kelly, Chris Klinck, Drew Klinck, Ethan Klinck, Ben Lenard, Hudson Lenard, Jacob Lenard, Maddox Lenard, Nathan Lenard, Scott Ledbetter, Austin Massey, Colby Roberts, Kraig Smith, Joe Tunnell, Dalton Russell, Jess Russell, Hagan Russell and Dawson Weaver.
