Mary Evelyn Newman Morris, 78, of Bruce passed from this life on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Bruce Community Living Center. Born on March 13, 1944, in Calhoun County, she was a daughter to the late Vernon L Newman and Estelle Bullard Newman.
Mary spent many years in marital bliss with her late husband, Thomas L Morris. The couple spent almost six decades together and gave life to children, grandchildren, all wrapped in an immeasurable number of memories. She provided for her family by sewing garments at Glenn Slacks and Pennaco Hosiery while still finding the time to look after her family that she so dearly loved. After retiring Mary found the time to fill her days with the things she enjoyed from embroidering and quilting to solving crosswords puzzles and spoiling her grandchildren. She belonged to the body of believers at Parker Baptist Church and faithfully attended until her health began to decline.
