Mary Belinda Stewart Turner

Mary Belinda Stewart Turner, 59, of Bruce departed from this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born on July 31, 1963, in Oxford, MS to the late Jimmy H. Stewart and Charlotte Baker Stewart.

Belinda was a graduate of Bruce High School Class of 1981 and graduated from Northwest Community College in 1983. Belinda spent her days as a record clerk at the University of Mississippi Police Department. When Belinda wasn't working she could be found spending time with her family and friends and her extended family the employees of the University of Mississippi Police Department. Belinda was an avid Ole Miss sports fan and loved listening to The Pride of the South Marching Band. She enjoyed going to the movies and listening to country music, especially George Strait. She loved animals and horses. Belinda was a member at Antioch Baptist Church. Although she has departed from our lives, her treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence: mother, Charlotte Baker Stewart of Bruce; daughter, Jordan (Taylor) Shoemake of Bruce; son, Dalton (Rebecca) Turner of Bruce; grandson, Lawson Clark Turner; two brothers: Dean (Helen) Stewart of Byhalia, MS; Lynn (Donna) Stewart of Bruce; sister, Melissa (Gary) Collums of Bruce.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 01, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service celebrating Belinda's life will take place on Friday, September 02, 2022, at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Will Turner and Eric Payne officiating. Craig Baker, Marshall Box, Kyle Carter, Wade Clark, Ryne Lee, Billy Stewart, Brian Stewart, and Curt Stewart will carry Belinda to rest in Memory Memorial Garden. University of Mississippi Police Department and Temp Officers at Ole Miss will serve as honorary pallbearers.
