Mary Lou Bray, 70, born October 4, 1952, in Vardaman to the late parents Jessie Tallent and Loudene Moore Tallent. She departed from this life on March 17, 2023, at Floyd Dyer Nursing Home in Houston after an extended illness.
She was a retired furniture factory worker and a member of Taylor Church of God in Vardaman. She loved her family dearly and her radiant smile will be missed forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert “Bob” Bray; son Joel Griggs; daughter Racheal Griggs; brothers: Charlie Tallent and Harley “Skinner” Tallent and niece Kimberly Haire.
Those left to cherish Mary Lou’s memory are daughter Beverly (Darrell) Reese of Woodland, MS; two sisters: Judy Martin of Thorn, MS, and Peggy Smith of Vardaman, MS; two brothers Harold (Dorothy) Tallent and James (Brenda) Tallent both of Vardaman, MS; four grandchildren: Jacob Easley, Jonathan Easley, Kelhi Reese, Jacob (Anna Laura) Reese and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. The funeral service honoring Mary Lou’s life will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vardaman with Dr. Tim Cook officiating. Pallbearers will be Jacob Easley, Jonathan Easley, Hunter Horn, Jandi Koehn, Andrew Miller, Jacob Reese and Lee Tallent. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Tallent and James Tallent. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman, MS.
