Mary Agnes Todd

Houston, MS – Mary Agnes Todd, 87, passed this earthly life on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Floyd Dyer Manor in Houston. She was born October 15, 1930 to the late parents of Doyle Edwin Burt and Edith Patterson Burt. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Indianapolis Glove Company of Houlka, a former seamstress for Kay’s Pageantry, and a part-time worker for Houston Wal-Mart. Mary Agnes enjoyed quilting for her family and friends, her quilted heirlooms will forever be cherished by her family. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Willard Todd, a brother, Doyle Burt and a special friend James Neal.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Linda (Jimmy) Higginbotham, Houston, Carol (Mike) Colbert, Houston; sisters, Jean Brammer, Memphis, Edna Harville, Houlka; grandchildren, Chris (Alisha) Higginbotham, Brad (Bethany) Higginbotham, Jennifer (Josh) Chandler, Cory (Eden) Higginbotham; great grandchildren, Carlie Jayne Higginbotham, Taylor Higginbotham, Brodie Chandler, Will Higginbotham, Mary Ella Chandler, Griffin Higginbotham. The James Neal extended family his daughters, Linda (Don) Blankenship, Houston, Wanda (Billy) Free, Houston; grandchildren, Jonathan Blankenship, Daphne King, Jennifer Gore, Christopher Free and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services and visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce from 12:00 p.m. till service time at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Elder J.F. Dancer and Bro. Tommy Harvard will officiate. Burial will be at Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Chandler, Billy Free, Andrew Harville, Eddie Harville, Chris Higginbotham, and Cory Higginbotham. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Higginbotham and Mike Brammer.
