Matthew Keegan Ware

Matthew Keegan Ware, 17, of Bruce, MS, passed into heaven’s gate on Friday, July 12, 2024, after a tragic accident.  He was born in September 20, 2006, in Oxford.

Matthew was a ray of sunshine to all he met.  His classmates and co-workers will always remember his smile and curly hair little fellow.  He was a senior in the Bruce High School Class of 2025.  He was a member of the F.F.A in school.  He loved working at TNT and especially Spratlin’s Building Supply, where he was eager to help in any way he could and assisting others. Matthew was a proud member of Chicken Bone Fire Department. He loved nature, outdoors and especially the solitude of watching God’s landscape of Sunsets.

Matthew was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lana Ware and grandmother's, Mary Ann Ware and Carol Starkey..

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Justin Lee Ware and Brandy Nicole Ware; brothers: Jordan and Gracen Ware , grandparents: Steven “Papaw” Starkey, and Jack and Annette Woodson and a Uncle: David Starkey all of Bruce.

Visitation will be Monday, July 15, 2024, from 5:00P.M. until 9:00P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home.  The funeral service honoring Matthew’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 A.M. Bro. Will Turner and Turner Moore will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Austin, Brayden Darby, B.J. Farmer, Joey Hastings, Chris Howell and Royce Tidwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bruce High School Class of 2025. Burial will be in Memory Memorial Garden.

Parker Memorial is honored to serve the Ware family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ware family during this time of sadness and loss.
