Mattie Frances Nabors of Cape Girardeau, MO, 87, passed from this life to her heavenly home July 11, 2022. She was born to the late James Earl Aston and Ethel Octavia Singleton Aston on October 22, 1934, in Randolph, Mississippi.

She dedicated her life as a pastor's wife alongside her husband over 46 years, serving as a Sunday school teacher, District Missionary President, and local church missionary president. She was willing to do and go wherever she was needed in church work. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and birdwatching. The hummingbirds were her favorite to watch.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Farris Dale Nabors; two daughters: Martha Miller of Iowa and Bonnie Ruth Harris of Alabama; two sons: Dale (Susan) Nabors and Duane Nabors both of Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Ellen Bergeron, Sue Douthitt of Louisiana, and Carolyn (Wayne) Boatwright of Georgia; and one brother James Hubert Aston of Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by two daughters Donna Lynn Good and Kay Nabors; her parents James Earl and Ethel Octavia (Singleton) Aston; four brothers: John Luther Aston, Thomas Morris Aston, Willie Aston, and Buron Aston; and two sisters: Maxine Braddock and Trilla Blue.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, July 16th, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the service following at 11:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce, MS. Rev. Jeff Harmon will be leading the service with Rev. Byron Haynie assisting. Burial will follow in Oldtown Cemetery.

*A Memorial of Life Service is planned later at Cape Girardeau Bible Missionary Church in Cape Girardeau, MO, with Rev. John Young officiating.
